A week to play, create, and collaborate with other creators.
An art residency and creative playground where artists, producers, makers, and transformational experience designers come together.
We gather at Caserne 26 for one week of co-creation, ending with a public showcase where we share works in progress, performances, and experiments.
Where depth and play meet
[Temple Playgrounds] creates spaces where art, play, technology and transformation meet. The word Temple represents depth, presence and reconnection with what truly matters. Playground represents child-like exploration, curiosity and the freedom to get messy, try and discover. We believe both can exist together. Transformation can be fun, and play can be meaningful.
Our projects use gamification and immersive technology as gentle invitations to go deeper, connect with yourself and others, and explore new possibilities. We aim to spark positive change at individual and community levels through creative and participatory experiences.
The flow of the week
Our 6-day journey is composed of 4 main blocks:
- Connect – An afternoon of inspiration and connection (Sunday)
- Community – 4 days of collaboration and exploration (Mon-Thu)
The week is sprinkled with experiential pop-up workshops facilitated by participants, many of whom have professional or empirical experience in fields like neuroscience, authentic relating, authentic movement, and mindfulness. Often, these experiences become the seeds for new artistic and immersive creations.
- Show and play – public exhibition (Thursday evening)
An evening of performances and experiments open to the public, but first of all for creators. We intentionally shape an environment where participants can take real creative risks. They are invited to prioritize depth and experience over polish, while being held by the community as they practice showing up with integrity to their own creative intuition.
This allows participants to support each other and soften common blocks like the inner critic, impostor syndrome, and performance anxiety. It creates space to step outside the box, dare the uncomfortable, and explore what real innovation can feel like.
- Integration (Friday, end of the afternoon)
A time to celebrate what we accomplished together, harvest the fruits of our collaboration, and reflect on what emerged. From there, we look ahead and pave the path for our visions as individuals, as a community, and in the world. We explore ways to stay connected, such as future coworking days and shared projects, and link the newly formed group with the wider [Temple Playgrounds] community for mutual support and new opportunities.
